Be it on foot, bicycle, kayak, canoe, power boat, and/or airplane, you will enjoy a complete experience with Everglades Area Tours.
Located 45 minutes/45 miles from the Hilton Naples Florida Hotel, Everglades Area Tours.com is a great destination for a day trip. Combine tours in a single day or over several days to enjoy the small town ambience of the Chokoloskee waterside community.
The most popular eco-adventure, the Boat Assisted Kayak ECO Tour combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great experience. The tour begins in a very comfortable transport boat that brings you into the Everglades National Park's core and very near to the wildlife. Your guide will then "slow" down the tour using stable, very comfortable kayaks to get you close to the wildlife. The kayaks are silent and unobtrusive for the wildlife and allow you to get closer than by any other means. Finally, you will explore the tidal zone of a remote island beach. A beach few can ever get to.
Expect to see some magnificent shells here! Imagine paddling next to manatees and dolphins. No previous paddling experience is required and both single and two-person kayaks are available. This tour truly is one of the best ways to experience Everglades National Park.
Introducing a new experience... The Fakahatchee Island Heritage Tour. Fakahatchee Island is an ancient Calusa Indian mitten that was settled by local Everglades's families in the late 1800's. Departing in a very comfortable powerboat from Everglades City/Chokoloskee Island, we travel through Everglades National Park through the "gates" to Fakahatchee Bay. Along the way, we expect to encounter dolphins, manatees and large numbers of wading birds. Learning about the rich heritage and culture of the area while standing amongst the remains of the old homes, cisterns and grave sites is quite an experience. The island also hosts numerous native and invasive species of plants including orchids, bromeliads and one of the largest "pencil trees" we have ever seen. This is a two-hour experience.
